We will fight to codify the Crown Act into federal law. LGBTQ+ individuals need healthcare that both supports them and affirms their identity. Healthcare is already inaccessible within the U.S., and is even less accessible for the individuals who need it most. Because protecting LGBTQ+ individuals’ access to healthcare significantly decreases the health risks and conditions they are more susceptible to. Employers must educate employees about complaint procedures and encourage all employees to use them should they feel uncomfortable in the workplace.

We will fight for workplace sexual harassment training requirements. However, they also benefit any groups disadvantaged in the workplace, such as BIPOC, disabled individuals, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Because combatting the wage gap through open salary policies and paid parental leave especially benefit women and femmes in the workplace. We will fight for wage policies that directly combat the wage gap in all its forms.
